Overview

Items are the basis for most QuickBooks reports, as the accounting is 'hidden' behind the scenes. Job Costing preferred reporting is through the use of items.

The Item DIMENSION does NOT include Sales Tax Items, or Sales Tax Groups - those are separate dimensions, Fixed Assets Payment Items, and Discount Items ARE included

  • Service
  • Inventory Part
  • Inventory Assembly
  • Non-Inventory Part
  • Other Charge
  • Discount
  • Payment

For Time Tracking, Vehicle, and Payroll Analytics a special Service Item DIMENSION is used as only service items are used.

Items have a maximum of 5 levels (0 thru 4 in QQube notation).
