Pivot Table Drill Down Functions

Modified on Sun, 26 Jul at 4:07 AM

Overview

Excel PivotTables include an Expand/Collapse feature that provides drill-down behavior similar to a dashboard.

You can begin with summarized information, such as a list of jobs or items, and then expand selected groups to view additional detail.

Expand and Collapse Symbols

  • A silver + indicates that the item is collapsed and additional detail is available.
  • A silver - indicates that the item is expanded and its detail is currently displayed.
