Customer Rep Dimension

Modified on Mon, 24 Jun at 3:02 AM

Overview

The Customer Rep Dimension is an extended field set that goes beyond the simple Sales Rep Initial used by QuickBooks; and combines common - and a few not common - information from the four entity types:

  • Customer
  • Vendor
  • Employee
  • Other Name

The Customer Rep Dimension is by default linked to the Customer Dimension rather than a FACT table. This allows you to filter/group your analytics without having to enter the Sales Rep Initial on the Transactions; and additionally helpful when Transactions don't even have a Sales Rep field available. Job Cost Analytics is a good example.

If you want to use the information as a result of Sales Reps on Transactions, then use Sales Rep Dimension.
