Sales Reps

Modified on Wed, 19 Jun at 1:11 AM

Overview

QuickBooks uses Vendors, Employees and Other Names as Sales Reps. QQube combines these three entities into one sales rep DIMENSION, thus providing the ability to include additional information e.g. contact information to commission or A/R by salesperson reports.

There are three "Sales Rep" Possibilities:

  1. Sales Rep (On Transaction)
  2. Customer Rep (From Customer List)
  3. Job Rep (From Sub:Job List)

Sales Rep Dimension

Contains all information from the sales rep types:

  • Employee
  • Other Name
  • Vendor

Notes on Usage

  • Using the Sales Rep in the transaction is the most common use for sales and commission reports, as it is always historically correct.
  • Using Customer and Job Rep information is better suited for Job Costing (e.g. supervisor, estimator, etc.)
