Model Summary

The QQube Bill of Materials Data Model expands QuickBooks assembly structures into main assemblies, nested sub-assemblies, and individual components. It shows each assembly level and the quantity of each component required.

Model TypeBill of materials and component-requirement analysis
Record CoverageMain assemblies, nested sub-assemblies, and components
Calendar CoverageNone
Primary UseExpand assembly structures and determine required component quantities

Best Used For

  • Reviewing every component included in a main assembly.
  • Expanding nested sub-assemblies to the individual component level.
  • Determining the total quantity of each component required for an assembly.
  • Reviewing component requirements for a main assembly or sub-assembly.

Key Capabilities

  • Explodes any number of nested sub-assembly levels.
  • Separates main assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components.
  • Identifies the level of each assembly or component within the hierarchy.
  • Provides the component quantity required by the expanded assembly structure.

Nested Assembly Logic

BOM Assembly LevelThe main assembly begins at level 0. Nested sub-assemblies and components are assigned increasing levels within the expanded hierarchy.
BOM QuantityThe quantity of each component required within the expanded bill of materials.

QuickBooks Data Limitations

QuickBooks does not provide this fully exploded multi-level bill-of-materials analysis.

The QQube model expands the assembly structure through its nested sub-assemblies and components.

BOM Measures

The model includes two native BOM measures. There are no QQube Field Extensions in this measure group.
