A connector uses the Intuit QuickBooks Desktop SDK to extract qbXML data and present it in a table-like format. It does not provide direct access to the QuickBooks database.

The user must still reverse-engineer the transaction structures, relationships, accounting logic, and limitations of the SDK.

QQube combines data from the Intuit SDK and, for supported QuickBooks Enterprise editions, the Custom Reporting interface. It then transforms that data into analysis-ready data models containing relationships, calculations, and hundreds of measures.

QQube also handles known SDK gaps, inconsistencies, and extraction limitations. The result is a structured data warehouse rather than a raw representation of the QuickBooks extraction interfaces.

Intuit does not provide direct access to the QuickBooks Desktop database. Outside products must use the access methods provided by Intuit.

These methods are very different from a direct database connection and can require complicated requests to retrieve related information.

This process can be slow, especially with larger QuickBooks files, and some QuickBooks data is not made available at all.

Because Intuit controls these access methods, no third-party product can bypass their extraction speed or obtain unrestricted access to the QuickBooks database. QQube works around the known limitations and organizes the available data into reporting-ready data models.

QuickBooks Desktop data is extracted through technology introduced by Intuit in 2001. The process can be slow, especially with larger or more complex QuickBooks files.

The first synchronization can take approximately 20 minutes for a 250 MB file, six hours or more for a 2 GB file, and longer in some cases.

Subsequent synchronizations usually take only several minutes because QQube retrieves only the information that needs to be updated. Refreshing an Excel spreadsheet or Power BI report from QQube normally takes seconds.

No. QQube is a read-only product.

It cannot add, change, or delete information in QuickBooks.

A QQube data model is a complete, reporting-ready collection of QuickBooks information for a specific subject, such as job costing, sales, or inventory.

It contains the related details, calculations, and relationships needed to create reports without having to determine how the QuickBooks data fits together.

Each QQube data model is complete for its subject area and is designed to be used on its own.

For example, the Inventory data model already includes the related sales, purchasing, and general ledger details needed for inventory reporting.

Combining data models should only be a last resort for a custom requirement when QuickBooks does not store the needed information together in the way the report requires.

No. QQube installs the same standard connections on each computer.

This allows a spreadsheet or report created by one QQube user to be opened and refreshed by another QQube user without changing the connection information.

No. We provide step-by-step instructions for installing QQube, connecting it to QuickBooks, and loading your data.

Once your data is loaded, you can open one of the 250 included examples and begin creating reports.

You mainly need experience with the application you are using, such as Excel or Power BI. QQube handles the QuickBooks data structure and reporting logic for you.

Yes. The 5,700 DAX formulas are included with QQube at no additional charge.

They were developed using a methodology created with Marco Russo and are available in the QQube Power Pivot and Power BI examples.

QQube provides a comprehensive series of public views that advanced users and developers can query directly.

These views contain the reporting-ready data used by our examples. They already include the QuickBooks relationships, calculations, and workarounds that would otherwise take weeks or months to develop.

The internal tables and transformation methods used to create these views are proprietary and are not exposed.

QQube is not a traditional subscription. Your initial purchase includes a perpetual license and one year of product updates, upgrades, and help desk support.

After the first year, you may continue using the version you already own without renewing.

An annual renewal provides another year of product updates, upgrades, and help desk support at approximately 35% of the current retail price.

No. The Single-User Edition is designed for installation on a workstation.

A server installation requires a Multi-User Edition, even when only one person uses QQube.

The server installation uses a dedicated Windows user to isolate QQube synchronization from normal QuickBooks and server activity.

Yes. Your 15-day evaluation copy includes all features with no limitations.

An additional 15-day extension is available upon request.

Yes. All examples included with the trial are included with the purchased product.

Any reports or other work you create during the trial remain available after you purchase and activate QQube.

Customers with a current subscription receive help desk support through the CLEARIFY support site.

You can submit a ticket to our technical engineers at any time. We normally respond the same day.

In rare cases, remote login assistance may be required. This is arranged only by mutual agreement and is billed at $149 per incident.

Most issues can be resolved by following our step-by-step guides or working directly with an engineer through the ticket system.
