Overview
Use Data Model Date Setup to control fiscal-year settings for financial summary data models and define what QQube treats as the current date for shortcut measures such as Last Month and Last Year Last Month.
This setting controls
- Fiscal-year handling for one or more QuickBooks company files.
- 52/53-week tax-year parameters.
- Date ranges for standard and flexible financial summary models.
- The date QQube uses for current-period shortcut measures.

Settings Explained
| Label | Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| A | Fiscal Year Setup | Choose whether each company uses the fiscal month stored in its QuickBooks file or all companies use the same fiscal year. |
| B | 52/53-Week Tax Year | Define the parameters for a 52/53-week tax year when your organization uses that IRS calendar. |
| C | Standard, Advanced, and Legacy Job Financials | Set the three-year range used by financial models with 36 monthly periods. You may also pause Balance Sheet by Class synchronization when a very large number of classes causes excessive processing time. |
| D | Flexible Custom Period Financials | Set the year range for flexible-period Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss, and Profit and Loss by Class models. |
| E | Current Definition | Define the date QQube treats as current for financial summary shortcuts and DAX date shortcuts in Power Pivot and Power BI. |
Current Definition
Use this setting when you are closing a prior month and do not want current-period measures to be based on the actual synchronization date.
