Where to perform this task
In a Multi-User installation, add the company while signed in as the server user that performs the synchronization between QQube and QuickBooks.
Before You Begin
Complete these requirements before adding the company:
- Create the required QuickBooks connection users.
- Open the company file in QuickBooks as the administrator and in multi-user mode.
- Keep only one instance of QuickBooks running.
- Do not open QuickBooks using Run as administrator. Remove that setting if a shield appears on the QuickBooks icon.
Add the Company File
1. Open Data Sources
Expand Data Sources, select QuickBooks Company List, and then click Add.

2. Confirm the QuickBooks requirements
Review the reminder, confirm that QuickBooks is open correctly, and then click OK.

Authorize QQube in QuickBooks
QuickBooks will display several authorization windows. Complete them in the order shown below.
3. Allow QQube to access the company file
Select Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running.

4. Confirm the authorization
Click Yes when QuickBooks asks you to confirm the access setting.

5. Select the QQube user
Return to the Application Certificate window and select the dedicated QQube QuickBooks user.

6. Finish the authorization
Confirm the access to complete the QuickBooks authorization.

QuickBooks Enterprise Only
QuickBooks Enterprise displays one additional window. Enter the password for the Custom Reporting User. Do not enter the password for the regular QuickBooks user.
Enter the Custom Reporting User password
Provide the Custom Reporting User password and continue.

Confirm the Company Was Added
The new company should now appear in the QuickBooks Company List.
Verify the new company
Confirm that the company appears in QQube before adding another company.
