Customer vs Job

Modified on Wed, 19 Jun at 12:34 AM

Overview

A particular oddity of the QuickBooks customer list is that a customer is a both a customer and a job – if and only if – there are no sub jobs for that customer.

However, once the same customer has jobs created beneath it, the customer is NO LONGER a job.

This will mean that the Rep field information will either represent a Job Rep, or Customer Rep based upon this criterion.  In the case where it is a single-customer - with no sub jobs - then the Rep field will have the same value for both Job Rep and Customer Rep, because the customer is also the job.

The QQube technology makes a distinction between customers and jobs – and will designate anything posted to a customer that has sub jobs as Posted to Customer instead of Job
