Notes
The method currently used by QQube for Linked Transactions works, but is somewhat kludgy because of how databases work. If you have multiple links for one transaction, then the items/amounts in the original transaction are repeated as many times as there are linked transactions.
So QQube has two 'Running Counter' fields to get around this technology anomaly.
- Txn Detail Count
- Txn Linked Count
Original Line Amount * (Txn Detail Count / Txn Linked Count)
Its greatest use is in determining the cash source of a transaction e.g. what bank account the final dollar rests. More info on Cash Source
The Linked Transaction folder is linked to the main FACT folder containing the measures.

Second Method for Linked Transactions
This method is much easier, but only works for posting transactions, and is found in the General Ledger Data Model. It uses a Master Linking Number and allows you to see linked transactions - one underneath another.
