Overview
The QQube Configuration Tool contains over 20 Tableau examples, with at least one for each data model in QQube.
- No configuration necessary - relationships are already properly created
- Field Names are renamed for ease of recognition
- Measures are properly formatted with correct default aggregations
- Hierarchies for items, classes, accounts have been created for convenience
- Unnecessary fields are hidden, e.g. linking fields
- All you need to do is make sure that the proper data model is loaded in QQube, and then just double click on the particular tableau shell you want to use.
- When you open up an example, the data should refresh automatically.
Start with an Example
Open up the Configuration tool and highlight Tableau under the Examples section. You should see a list of Tableau examples - at least one for each data model.
If you see a data model example grayed out, please review this guide on handling synch issues.

There is no need to manually connect to any QQube related source as everything is already put together for you, including default formatting, and delineation of measures and dimensions.
QQube is based upon decades long data warehouse practices, meaning that there is only one way to put the tables together - and there is no need to tie one data model to another. Each one is complete unto itself.
Here is the underlying data model for the time_tracking_(qqube10.x).twb above:
