Report Options for NULL Values

Modified on Sun, 26 Jul at 3:48 AM

Overview

Report Options apply only to the current Crystal Reports file. These settings override the global Crystal Reports options.

For QQube reports, the most important report-specific settings control how NULL values are handled.

To open these settings, select File > Report Options.

Configure NULL Value Settings

Select both of the following options:

  • Convert Database NULL Values to Default
  • Convert Other NULL Values to Default

Why These Settings Matter

A NULL value in a summarized field can cause Crystal Reports to return no result instead of a usable default value.

QQube numeric fields already contain numeric values. These settings are especially important when a report also retrieves data from other sources.

Expected Result

The current report converts database and other NULL values to their default values. This prevents NULL values from suppressing report summaries.
