Overview
The QQube Configuration Wizard selects the data models most commonly used for your type of business. You can add or remove models at any time from the QQube Configuration Tool.

Load only the data models you need
Each QQube data model is self-contained. Loading unnecessary models increases synchronization time and database storage without improving the models you actually use.
How to choose data models
Select models according to the reports and analytics you need. One data model does not need to be loaded simply because another model is selected.
- The Inventory data model already includes related sales, purchasing, and general ledger information.
- If you need only financial summary reports, you do not need to load General Ledger Detail.
- The 52/53 Tax Year Profit and Loss model is intended for businesses that report using a 52- or 53-week fiscal calendar.
QQube extracts QuickBooks data through the Intuit SDK and qbXML interfaces. It does not connect directly to the QuickBooks database. Because these interfaces control how data is requested and returned, selecting fewer unnecessary models can materially reduce synchronization time.

Legacy data models still available
QQube Version 10 introduced more efficient replacements for four Version 7.x data models. The earlier models remain available for customers who still need them.

| Legacy data model | Recommended replacement | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Profit and Loss by Job | Profit and Loss by Job (Flexible Period) | Jobs, Time and Mileage |
| Profit and Loss by Job by Class | Profit and Loss by Job by Class (Flexible Period) | Jobs, Time and Mileage |
| Profit and Loss Freestyle | Profit and Loss (Flexible Period) | Financial Statements |
| Profit and Loss by Class Freestyle | Profit and Loss by Class (Flexible Period) | Financial Statements by Class |
Recommended approach
Use the newer Flexible Period models unless an existing report or workbook specifically requires one of the legacy models.
