Detailed synchronization log message
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 10/15/2027 06:44:57 PM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BeginSession Error Code: 8004041C An internal QuickBooks error occurred while trying to access the QuickBooks company data file. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
What the Error Means
Error 8004041C comes directly from the Intuit Software Development Kit. QuickBooks encountered an internal problem while QQube was attempting to access the company file.
This error commonly indicates company-file corruption. It is similar to Error 80040421, but QuickBooks progresses farther into the connection process before reporting the failure.
Resolution
Complete these steps in order.
1. Open the Company File Manually
Log in to the Windows user where QQube was installed and attempt to open the affected company file directly in QuickBooks.
If QuickBooks cannot open the company file, contact QuickBooks Support before continuing.
2. Test the Company Setup Data Model
If the company file opens successfully:
- Sign in to QuickBooks as the Administrator.
- Place the company file in Multi-user Mode.
- Run a manual QQube synchronization for only the Company Setup/Preferences data model.
- Review the synchronization log.
3. Rebuild and Reload
If Error 8004041C returns during the Company Setup/Preferences test, follow Rebuild and Verify a QuickBooks Company File.
After the rebuild, perform a complete QQube clear and reload using both Run All and Clear all data on synch start.
If Error 8004041C Returns
Collect the Intuit SDK log immediately
If Error 8004041C returns after the rebuild and complete reload, retrieve the required QuickBooks log immediately. The next QQube synchronization can overwrite the information needed for the repair request.
Follow Collecting QuickBooks Logs for Intuit Data Services.
Submit the requested QuickBooks log and QQube synchronization log to CLEARIFY Support. CLEARIFY can review the evidence before you contact QuickBooks Support or request company-file repair through Intuit Data Services.
Expected Result
The company file opens normally, the Company Setup/Preferences test succeeds, and the complete QQube clear and reload finishes without Error 8004041C.
