Overview
The Intuit Software Development Kit creates a diagnostic file named qbsdklog.txt. This file records the interaction between QuickBooks Desktop and third-party applications such as QQube.
CLEARIFY may request this file when an Intuit SDK error continues after the required troubleshooting steps have been completed.
Retrieve the File Immediately
Copy qbsdklog.txt immediately after the QQube error appears in the synchronization log.
Do not run another QQube synchronization first. The next synchronization overwrites the SDK log, and the information needed to diagnose the original error will no longer be available.
Files to Collect
- qbsdklog.txt from the Intuit QuickBooks folder.
- The QQube synchronization log containing the corresponding error.
Collect qbsdklog.txt
1. Stop Before Running Another Synchronization
As soon as the QQube error appears, do not start another synchronization.
2. Open the Intuit QuickBooks Folder
Open the following folder:
3. Copy the SDK Log
Locate qbsdklog.txt and copy it to a safe location before any additional QQube synchronization is attempted.
Collect the QQube Synchronization Log
Save the QQube synchronization log that contains the matching error. Review The Key to Success: Synchronizer Logs for the log review and submission process.
Submit the Diagnostic Files
Attach both files to the applicable CLEARIFY support ticket:
- qbsdklog.txt
- The QQube synchronization log containing the error
Include the specific QQube error code or message reported in the synchronization log.
Expected Result
The Intuit SDK activity associated with the original QQube error is preserved before another synchronization can overwrite it. CLEARIFY Engineering can then compare the SDK log with the corresponding QQube synchronization log.
