Advanced Synchronizer Logging

Modified on Sun, 26 Jul at 2:26 AM

Overview

A CLEARIFY support engineer may ask you to capture advanced synchronization logging for a specific support case. Enable this feature only when requested, reproduce the issue, and then save the resulting verbose log as a text file.

Before You Begin

Open the QQube Configuration Tool and confirm that you can reproduce the synchronization issue identified by CLEARIFY Support.

Enable Advanced Logging

1. Open the Synchronization Logs

In the QQube Configuration Tool, select Synch Logs on the left side.

2. Turn On Advanced Logging

Hold down the Ctrl key and double-click the phrase Synchronizer Log Entries at the top of the QQube Configuration Tool.

When advanced logging is enabled, a plus sign appears to the right of Synchronizer Log Entries.

3. Reproduce the Issue

Run the synchronization and allow the issue to occur again so the advanced details are written to the log.

Save the Advanced Log

In versions later than Build 507, Send to CLEARIFY Support is disabled while advanced logging is active because the verbose log may be too large to submit through that option.

  1. Highlight the applicable log entry.
  2. Select Verbose Logs.
  3. Save the log as a text file.
  4. Attach the text file to the existing CLEARIFY support ticket.

Expected Result

The synchronization issue is reproduced with advanced logging enabled, and the verbose log is saved as a text file for CLEARIFY Engineering to review.
