Overview
In the QQube Configuration Tool, the synchronization log list may display a red failed entry for Error 8004041D, Error 80040430, or Error 80040435. Select that red status link to open this guide.

Resolve every failed entry
A later synchronization that reports Success does not mean this earlier error corrected itself. The failed entry must still be reviewed and resolved.
The detailed synchronization log for the failed entry contains one of the following messages.

What the Errors Mean
Errors 8004041D, 80040430, and 80040435 come directly from the Intuit SDK. QQube does not currently have permission to log in to the requested QuickBooks company file automatically.
Possible Causes
| Possible Cause | What Happened |
|---|---|
| Company file was replaced | The current QuickBooks company file is a replacement copy that never authorized QQube for automatic login. |
| Pro or Premier permissions are damaged | QuickBooks Pro or Premier requires QQube to be reauthorized. This cause applies specifically to Error 80040435. |
| Integrated Application authorization is damaged | The saved automatic-login authorization between QuickBooks and QQube is no longer valid. |
| QQube digital certificate changed | An update from a QQube release earlier than 7.9x introduced a new digital certificate and requires reauthorization. |
| More than one QQube Synchronizer is running | A regular user or another Windows session started an additional Synchronizer. |
Resolution
Complete these steps in order.
1. Authorize a Replacement Company File
- Open the replacement company file as the QuickBooks Administrator.
- Confirm that all required QuickBooks users meet Intuit's complex-password requirements.
- Pay particular attention to the QuickBooks user assigned to QQube.
- Add the company file to QQube to establish the automatic-login permissions.
Review Create Connection Users and Add a QuickBooks Company File.
After the replacement file is authorized, it may be returned to the branch or other user. A later copy should retain the QQube authorization when it replaces the current company file.
2. Re-establish Automatic-Login Permission
For QQube Multi-User, log in to the dedicated Windows synchronization user where QQube was installed.
- Open the affected company file in QuickBooks as the Administrator.
- Select Edit > Preferences > Integrated Applications.
- Remove QQube Data Warehouse from the application list.
- Select OK and leave the company file open.
- Sign in manually using the QuickBooks user assigned to QQube.
- Resolve any password, permission, or Intuit account message displayed by QuickBooks.
- Open the QQube Configuration Tool and select QuickBooks Company List.
- Highlight the affected company file and select Change Path to reauthorize the connection.
3. Stop Additional QQube Synchronizers
In a Multi-User implementation, run the Synchronizer only under the dedicated Windows synchronization user where QQube was installed.
Close any Synchronizer started under another Windows user. A regular server or Remote Desktop user is not a synchronization user.
Use the installation guide that matches your environment:
Expected Result
QQube is authorized for automatic login under the correct QuickBooks user, only one Synchronizer is running, and the synchronization completes without Errors 8004041D, 80040430, or 80040435.
