Overview
The QQube synchronization log contains an Intuit Software Development Kit (SDK) error similar to the following:
Synchronization log message
What the Error Means
Error 80040437 comes directly from the Intuit SDK. The QuickBooks user assigned to QQube is already signed in to the company file from another computer or Windows session.
Possible Causes
| Possible Cause | What Happened |
|---|---|
| QQube QuickBooks user is already in use | Another person or computer is signed in to QuickBooks using the same QuickBooks user assigned to QQube. |
| More than one QQube Synchronizer is running | A regular user or another Windows session started a second Synchronizer using the same QuickBooks connection user. |
Resolution
1. Reserve the QQube QuickBooks User for QQube
Create and assign the dedicated QuickBooks user described in Create Connection Users.
Do not use that QuickBooks user for normal QuickBooks work. Sign out any person or computer currently using it.

2. Stop Additional QQube Synchronizers
In a Multi-User implementation, run the Synchronizer only under the dedicated Windows synchronization user where QQube was installed.
Close any Synchronizer started under another Windows user. A regular server or Remote Desktop user is not a synchronization user.
Review the installation and requirements guides.
Expected Result
The QuickBooks user assigned to QQube is used only by the dedicated QQube synchronization session, only one Synchronizer is running, and the synchronization completes without Error 80040437.
