Overview of the QuickBooks Time Tracking Data Model

The Time Tracking data model is unique in that it assigns several rate options, and includes these calculations:

  • Item Rate - based strictly upon the service item sales price
  • Billing Rate - based upon item and billing rate assigned to the vendor/employee performing the job
  • Price Level Rate - based upon item and price level assigned to the customer:job


Calculations:

  • Item Rate * Qty
  • Billing Rate * Qty
  • Price Level * Qty


Time is measured in minutes.
